  1. I am having an issue with the Acoustic Strings Kontakt files, which is basically not being able to play any chords. I can only hear single notes. What could be the reason for that? The thing is, this issue occurs only with the Acoustic Strings instruments.

    1. Sorry about that I forgot that WIPs didn't do polyphonic. Use the link below for NKIs that will do chords.

    2. Forgive my ignorance, but what is WIP? I'm fairly new to soundfonts and still getting to grips with all these terms. I Googled WIPs but couldn't find anything.

    3. It is a set of scripts for Kontakt that allows for things like fake legato, vibrato and round robins. The W actually stand for wind instruments and folks with a breath controller can also use it to play the instruments using that.

  3. naturally like your website but you need to test the spelling on quite a few
of your posts. Several of them are rife with spelling issues and I in finding it very bothersome to inform the reality nevertheless I will definitely come again again.

    1. I'm gonna let you in a a little secret. Behind the pseudonym bigcat is probably the least talented human being who has ever lived. I can't spell, I can't create pretty websites, I'm completely disorganized. Ask poor Sam the brains, talent and hard work behind all the VSCO orchestra stuff. He is too kind to tell you, but Lord have mercy I must have driven him nuts. No one, me included, know why God has chosen to use a musical and otherwise idiot to give folks some instruments to help them out.
Thankfully my friends forgive all the inadequacies and hopefully you can to.

  4. I downloaded all the wav files from the magenta site and also the keyboard sounds you gave (CD2). Did you edit the acoustic keyboard sounds (like normalize or anything)? (I noticed a slight file name change.. less zeroes.. but is that all?)
    Thanks.

    2. Thanks. Forgot to say that I would have used some old shitty sounds for my project unless I had seen your blog about all these cool sounds. If I ever get success with them, I'll be sure to come back and give you a donation or something.

    3. Glad to help. There are some fun sounds in there though finding them in that mass of so many samples can be a challenge. Hope you have fun on your project!

  6. Is there a way to manipulate the piano samples so they are longer in duration? 3-4 seconds is not very ideal when you want to play long sustained notes.
